Eastern University is proud to announce that Noman Bin Hossain, a student of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Batch 61, has been honored with an award in the “Student Category (Student Icon)” at the OWS National Tech Award. The highly competitive program featured six categories and assessed participants through a rigorous process involving applications, public voting, and viva evaluation. Noman achieved an impressive 9th position in the overall public voting across all categories and secured 2nd position in the Student Icon Category, reflecting his outstanding contributions and impact in the field of technology.
The award ceremony was held on 16 January 2026 at the Muktijoddha Auditorium, IDEB Building, Kakrail VIP Road, Dhaka. Noman is widely recognized for his leadership and community engagement, serving as Open Mapping Guru (Asia Pacific), President of YouthMappers at Eastern University, Secretary of Leo Club of Dhaka Crescent, and Joint Secretary of the Eastern University Computing Club.
