The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Eastern University warmly welcomed its newest cohort of students through a vibrant Orientation Program held on July 13 in the university’s Rezakul Haider Hall.
The event, designed to ease the transition of new students into university life, featured a blend of formal reception, motivational speeches, and informative sessions outlining academic and administrative procedures.
The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Eastern University. In his keynote address, Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani inspired students to commit themselves to academic excellence, pursue personal growth, and engage actively in campus life. He emphasized the importance of utilizing the university’s rich resources and support structures.
Also present were Professor Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and Professor Dr. M. M. Shahidul Hassan, Distinguished Professor, who attended as special guests. The orientation session was chaired by Professor Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Humayun, Chairperson of the EEE Department, who welcomed the students and wished them a successful academic life.
The program concluded on a positive and energetic tone, leaving the students informed, encouraged, and excited to embark on their journey at Eastern University.
