Eastern University’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized a workshop today at its Rezakul Haider Hall to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry. The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, who emphasized on integrating industrial expertise with academic research to enhance innovation, employability, and quality education.
Distinguished speakers included Prof. Dr. Khondaker A. Mamun, Professor of AI, Department of CSE at UIU and Founder of CMED Health; and Prof. Dr. Swakkhar Shatabda, Professor of CSE at BRAC University. Both shared insights on AI, health technology, ways of industry-connectivity, research commercialization, and the future of innovation in Bangladesh.
The session was attended by the faculty members, and officials of the university. The Treasurer, Registrar, Deans of the Faculties, Director of the IQAC, and Chairpersons of different departments put their valuable remarks at the end of the workshop. Participants expressed their deep satisfaction, describing it as an excellent workshop that proved beneficial for students, teachers, and the university as a whole.
