The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department of Eastern University hosted a splendid 'Orientation Program' on 07 July 2025 at the Rezakul Haider Hall, EU for students enrolled in the Summer 2025 semester. The program was a blend of formal welcomes and interactive sessions of academic an administrative rules aimed at integrating the newcomers into the vibrant CSE community.
Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Eastern University was present as the chief guest, Professor Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology was the special guest and the Chairperson of CSE, Muhammad Mahfuz Hasan, was the session chair of this program.
At the beginning of the program, as a Chairperson of the Department, Muhammad Mahfuz Hasan, heartily welcomed all admitted students of Summer 2025 and introduced the well acclaimed faculty members of the Department of CSE. Followed by the introduction of CSE, class routine, academic and examination rules was illustrated by the Chairperson of CSE department.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of academic excellence, personal growth and community involvement. He encouraged students to take full advantage of the resources available at the university and to actively participate in campus life.
At the end of the program the executive committee of Eastern University Computing Club (EUCC) was introduced to the admitted students of Summer 2025.
The program was hosted by Puspita Helal, a final year student of CSE department.
