An international webinar titled “Mastering the Art of Writing and Publishing Papers: Expert Strategies and Insider Tips” was successfully held on Sunday, 7 September 2025, at 7:00 PM. The program was jointly organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Eastern University, Dhaka, the International Open University (IOU), The Gambia, and the Bangladesh Society for Private University Academics (BSPUA), Dhaka.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University and President of BSPUA. In his inaugural speech, Prof. Sobhani emphasized the importance of quality research and global collaboration in advancing higher education and academic excellence in Bangladesh. His remarks set the tone for the evening, inspiring participants to pursue impactful research and scholarly contributions.
The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Md. Aminul Islam, Full Research Professor, Prince Mohammad Bin Fahad University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prof. Islam shared practical strategies, common pitfalls, and insider tips to help researchers effectively write and publish in high-impact journals. His presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session, where participants from home and abroad actively engaged with thought-provoking questions.
Earlier, the session began with an introduction by Ms. Syeda Khadiza Akter, Lecturer, Southeast Business School, Southeast University, and Life Fellow of BSPUA. The welcome address was given by Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraf Hossain, Director of IQAC, Eastern University.
The webinar also featured panel discussions with Prof. Dr. Nehreen Majed (North South University) and Prof. Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman (Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Eastern University). The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Afroza Bulbul, Director for Research & Publication, International Open University, The Gambia, and concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Farhana Ferdousi, Associate Professor & Director, BBA Program, Southeast Business School, Southeast University.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, researchers, and students from Bangladesh and abroad, reflecting a growing interest in enhancing research and publication standards in higher education.
