The Freshers’ Orientation for Fall 2025 was held on 26 October 2025 at Eastern University campus in Ashulia, Dhaka. The program warmly welcomed the newly admitted students to the Eastern University.
The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University. Professor Dr. A. S. M. Amanullah, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of National University, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. ABM Shahidul Islam and Mr. Mohammad Ali Azzam, Members of the Board of Trustees, Eastern University, were present as Special Guests.
In their speeches, the guests encouraged students to become attentive, ethical, and professionally skilled citizens. They also highlighted the importance of higher education in building leadership and contributing to national development.
Among others, Professor Md. Shamsul Huda, Treasurer of Eastern University; Dr. Abul Basher Khan, Registrar; Professor Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology; Professor Dr. M. Sayedur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; Mr. ABM Imdadul Haque Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Mr. Md. Rofiusssan, Chairperson of the Department of English, also addressed the program.
The orientation program introduced the freshers to the university’s academic rules, regulations, club activities, and campus life. The event concluded with a colorful cultural performance presented by the Cultural Club of the university.
