A group of students from CSE department, EU visited the renowned Norwegian software company Cefalo Bangladesh Ltd. as part of their educational and industrial exposure program. The visit aimed to provide students with practical insights into the software industry and to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world applications.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by Saiful Haque Pranta, Executive, HR & Admin. The session began with an introductory presentation about the companyâs history, global presence and core areas of work. The speaker explained how the company operates across different countries and collaborates with international clients.
The students were then given a guided tour of the office premises. They observed modern workspaces, collaborative environments and advanced technological infrastructure. The tour highlighted the importance of teamwork, innovation and effective communication in a professional setting.
An interactive session followed, where Managing Director of the company Ferdous Mahmud Shaon discussed current trends in the software industry. He also explained the skills required to succeed in the field such as programming knowledge, problem-solving abilities, adaptability and continuous learning. Students were encouraged to ask questions making the session engaging and informative.
The visit concluded with guidance on career opportunities, internships and the importance of ethics and professionalism in the corporate world. Overall, the visit was highly informative and motivating. It enhanced the studentsâ understanding of the software industry and inspired them to work towards building successful careers in the technology sector.
The visit was coordinated by Muhammad Mahfuz Hasan, Head of the Department, CSE, with the support of A.S.M. Mehedi Hasan and Nishat Tasnim Sithy.
