The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Eastern University proudly hosted a distinguished technical seminar on November 5, 2025, featuring Dr. Chowdhury Rajeeb Shahriar, Senior Principal Engineer at Raytheon, USA.
Dr. Shahriar is a highly accomplished electrical engineer with extensive expertise in communications and signal processing, with specializations in wireless and satellite communications, software-defined radio (SDR), cognitive radio (CR), communication security (COMSEC), electronic warfare (EW), automatic modulation classifier (AMC), synthetic-aperture radar (SAR), interference mitigation, spectrum allocation, antenna technologies, and next-generation mobile communication systems including 4G and 5G.
During his insightful talk, Dr. Shahriar discussed the evolution of advanced communication systems, emerging industry trends, and future research opportunities for young engineers. His session provided students, faculty members, and invited guests with valuable knowledge on real-world applications, challenges, and innovations shaping the global communications landscape.
The program was graced by the presence of the respected Dean, Prof. Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, the Chairperson of EEE, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al Humayun, along with esteemed faculty members and enthusiastic students, who actively participated throughout the interactive question-and-answer session.
