The IEEE Eastern University Student Branch proudly celebrated IEEE Day 2025 on 10th November 2025, marking a vibrant day of innovation, inspiration, and collaboration under the global theme “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.”
The celebration was graced by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, whose presence added significance to the event. Prof. Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology; Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Humayun, Chairperson, Department of EEE; Prof. Md. Shamsul Huda, Treasurer; and Dr. Abul Basher Khan, Registrar, were also present, encouraging students to continue their innovative journey in alignment with IEEE’s global vision.
We were honored to welcome distinguished alumni and professionals who shared their insights and experiences on higher studies and career opportunities in France and China. The guest speakers included Md. Rahidul Islam Ratul (Electrical Manager, Project Design & Execution, China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd., Bangladesh), Rashik Anzum Shohan (Assistant Engineer, Circuit & System Design, ULKASEMI Pvt. Limited, Bangladesh), Md. Mizanur Rahman Manu (Technical Engineer, Smart Key Energy, Shenzhen, China), and Minhaz Uddin (Research Assistant, University Grenoble Alpes, France). Their engaging discussions inspired students to explore advanced research, international education, and careers in cutting-edge technologies.
The celebration also featured a colorful IEEE Day procession, an exciting quiz competition, an idea contest, and a joyful cake-cutting and prize-giving ceremony. Students actively participated in the activities, which added color, motivation, and enthusiasm to the occasion.
The event was successfully organized by the IEEE Eastern University Student Branch and coordinated by Md. Maidul Islam, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, with generous sponsorship from RNT International.
