The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), successfully organized the Orientation Program for the IPA FE (ITEE) Training on 3rd March 2026 in the universityâs Conference Room.
This valuable training opportunity has been offered by the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) under the ICT Division of the Government of Bangladesh. According to the official communication from BCC, 20 students of Eastern University have been nominated to receive this specialized training completely free of cost.
The training aims to prepare students for the Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE), Level-2: FE (Fundamental Engineering), an internationally recognized IT certification conducted under Japanâs Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA). The certification enhances global employability and professional standards in the ICT sector.
The Orientation Program was graced by Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, as the Chief Guest; Engr. Md. Golam Sarwar, Director (BD ITEC), Bangladesh Computer Council, who joined the session virtually via Zoom as the Guest of Honor; Prof. Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean, School of Engineering, Eastern University, as the Special Guest; and Muhammad Mahfuz Hasan, Head, Department of CSE, Eastern University, who chaired the session.
In his address, the Honorable Vice Chancellor expressed sincere appreciation to Bangladesh Computer Council for providing this prestigious opportunity and emphasized the importance of international certification in building globally competitive ICT professionals. Engr. Md. Golam Sarwar, joining online, highlighted the significance of ITEE certification and encouraged students to fully utilize the training to achieve international standards of excellence.
