Eastern University organized a seminar titled “The Art of Living” on 18 August 2026 at Rezakul Haider Hall. The seminar focused on positive thinking, attitude, human behavior, and the importance of leading a peaceful and meaningful life.
Prof. Dr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Professor of Economics at Daffodil International University, delivered the keynote speech. He highlighted the importance of attitude and natural behavior in shaping our lives. He explained that the art of living is reflected in the way we naturally think, behave, communicate, and respond to people and situations around us. He encouraged students to understand themselves, develop a healthy attitude, and practice positive behavior in their everyday lives.
Speaking as the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University said, “Life is all about peace.” He discussed how positive and negative thinking influence our daily lives and emphasized that positive thinking is essential to living a peaceful and fulfilling life. He encouraged students to develop a positive mindset and face different situations with hope, confidence, and a calm mind.
Prof. Md. Shamsul Huda, Treasurer of Eastern University, and Prof. Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean of the School of Engineering, also spoke at the seminar. Dr. Abul Basher Khan, Registrar of Eastern University, was also present. Faculty members, officials, and students from different departments attended the event.
The seminar provided students with an opportunity to look beyond academic studies and reflect on the importance of peace, positive thinking, attitude, and human values in building a better and more meaningful life.
