INDCon 2025 has officially announced the results of its competitions, and Eastern University is delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its students. In the Presentation Competition, Eastern University secured 1st Place with the project “IoT-Enabled Maternal & Neonatal Health Monitoring in Remote Areas,” presented by Farhan Ahmed Rahee (EEE), Shariful Islam (EEE), and Turjo Saha (CSE). Dhaka University and JUST achieved 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
In the Project Showcasing Competition, Eastern University earned 3rd Place with the project “Multipurpose Drone,” developed by Md Shamiul Islam, Jahangir Alom, and Labib Sobhani—all from the Department of EEE. BUBT and Daffodil International University secured the top two positions. In the Idea Pitching Competition, the winners were Daffodil International University, UAP, and Varendra University.
This year’s INDCon saw strong nationwide participation, with approximately 90 students from around 27 IEEE Student Branches of different universities joining both onsite and online. Eastern University warmly congratulates its winning teams for their creativity and dedication, and appreciates all participants whose efforts enriched INDCon 2025. The university also recognizes the leadership and support of Md. Maidul Islam, Associate Professor and Coordinator of the IEEE EU Student Branch, and Prof. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Counselor of the IEEE EU Student Branch.
INDCon 2025—an international congress featuring competitions, hands-on workshops, expert talks, and panel discussions—was organized by the IEEE Bangladesh Section and jointly co-hosted by the IEEE MIST Student Branch and the IEEE Eastern University Student Branch. This year, IEEE BECITHCON 2025 and INDCon 2025 were held in parallel at Eastern University, creating a vibrant platform for innovation, research, and industrial collaboration.
