Eastern University held its 93rd Academic Council Meeting today on 4 May 2026 at the university campus in Ashulia Model Town, chaired by Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani.
Among the distinguished attendees were Barrister Safayet Mohammad Raju, Chairman, Eastern University Foundation, along with BoT members Mr. Abul Quasem Haider, Prof. Dr. ABM Shahidul Islam (DU), Mr. Md. Tanvir Mahmud, and Mr. Khandaker Sakib Ahmed. Senior officials, Deans, External Members and Heads of Departments were also present.
Key decisions included approval of semester results, confirmation of the graduate list, introduction of new academic programs, revision of course curricula, and enhancement of the research fund.
The meeting reaffirmed the university’s commitment to academic excellence and quality with integrity.
