The IEEE Eastern University Student Branch proudly announces a landmark achievement at INDCon 2025, where Eastern University emerged as Champion in the Idea Presentation Competition, outperforming Dhaka University (Runner-up). The winning project titled โIoT-Enabled Maternal & Neonatal Health Monitoring in Remote Areasโ was presented by Farhan Ahmed Rahee (EEE), Shariful Islam (EEE), and Turjo Saha (CSE).
In addition, Eastern University also secured 3rd Place in the Project Showcasing Competition with the project โMultipurpose Drone,โ developed by Md. Shamiul Islam (EEE), Jahangir Alom (EEE), and Labib Sobhani (EEE).
With participation from nearly 90 students representing 27 IEEE Student Branches across the country, INDCon 2025 showcased outstanding innovation, creativity, and technical excellence.
Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, personally congratulated the winning teams, expressing his pride in the studentsโ achievements and appreciating their dedication to research, innovation, and real-world problem solving. His presence and encouragement served as a great inspiration for the students.
These achievements also reflect the strong mentorship and leadership of Md. Maidul Islam, Associate Professor & Coordinator, IEEE EU Student Branch, and Prof. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology & Counselor, IEEE EU Student Branch.
INDCon 2025, organized by the IEEE Bangladesh Section and co-hosted by IEEE MIST Student Branch and IEEE Eastern University Student Branch, was held alongside IEEE BECITHCON 2025 at Eastern University, fostering a vibrant environment for research, innovation, and industry collaboration.
