Role of Organizational Strategy And Structure in Making Human Resource Outsourcing Decisions: A Study From Bangladesh

Abstract: The purpose of the study is to find out the impact of organizational strategy and structure on Human Resource Outsourcing decisions on organizational performance. It is an in-depth interview-based explorative study where 40 human resource professionals were used as a sample. Hypothesis-based findings showed that both organizational strategies and structures play a supportive role in making Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO) decision. Recruitment and selection decision, training decision, payroll processing decision, and career development decision constitute the Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO) decision. The study revealed that multinational organizations (MNCs), private organizations, small organizations are the potential markets for the human resource outsourcing decision. The most significant limitation of the study is the time when the research was made. Because this field is not matured enough to be one of the subjects of the studies. However, the study will be helpful for HR practitioners in Bangladesh, especially those who are interested in analyzing the subjective benefit of Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO) in different organizational settings.
