Eastern University Research Society (EURS) successfully organized the Competition on Poster Presentation 2026 at Rezakul Haidar Hall, celebrating students' research excellence and innovative ideas.
Held under the theme "Multidisciplinary Research for Sustainable Development and Innovation," the day-long competition brought together students from different academic disciplines to showcase their research through poster presentations. Participants presented their work before judges and other participants during the morning session, followed by an engaging question-and-answer session.
The Award Giving Ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he encouraged students to embrace research as a powerful tool for solving real-world challenges and emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in achieving sustainable development and innovation.
Special guests included Dr. Shafia Akhter, Dean of the School of Arts; Prof. Brigadier General Dr. A K M Iqbal Azim (Retd), ndc, psc, G+, Dean of the School of Business; Prof. Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean of the School of Engineering; and Mr. A.B.M. Imdadul Haque Khan, Dean of the School of Law. They appreciated the participants' creativity, research potential, and commitment to addressing contemporary challenges through innovative ideas.
The ceremony was chaired by Dr. Abu Bin Ihsan, Dean of the School of Life Sciences and Chief Research Coordinator, Eastern University Research Society (EURS).
The program concluded with the distribution of awards and certificates to the winners, followed by a group photograph with coordinators from different departments, guests and participants, marking a memorable celebration of research and academic excellence at Eastern University.
