The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Eastern University successfully organized a seminar titled “Microsoft 365 Copilot – Your Research Assistance” on 29 April 2026 at Rezakul Haider Hall. The session focused on the transformative role of AI-powered tools in academic research and how Microsoft 365 Copilot can support students in improving research efficiency, academic writing, and data organization.
The program was graced by the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, whose encouragement highlighted the university’s commitment to integrating modern technology into education and research. Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean and Professor, School of Engineering, also spoke at the program, emphasizing the importance of embracing AI-driven tools to enhance research quality and academic productivity among students. The seminar was conducted by Mr. Muhammad Mahfuz Hasan, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of CSE, who provided practical demonstrations on how AI tools can be effectively utilized in different stages of research, including literature review, methodology development, and result analysis.
The session created an engaging learning environment where students actively participated and explored the real-world applications of AI in their academic journey.
