দুই দিনব্যাপী টানটান উত্তেজনাপূর্ণ এই টুর্নামেন্টে আবারও চ্যাম্পিয়ন হয়েছে কম্পিউটার সায়েন্স অ্যান্ড ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং (CSE) বিভাগ। ফাইনালে ইলেকট্রিক্যাল অ্যান্ড ইলেকট্রনিক্স ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং (EEE) বিভাগকে হারিয়ে হাড্ডাহাড্ডি লড়াইয়ের মধ্য দিয়ে শিরোপা নিশ্চিত করে CSE দল। এবারের টুর্নামেন্টে অংশগ্রহণ করে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মোট ৭টি বিভাগ—CSE, EEE, Civil, Law, Pharmacy, English এবং BBA। টুর্নামেন্টটির স্পন্সর ছিল ক্লেমন। পুরস্কার বিতরণী অনুষ্ঠানে মাননীয় উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. ফরিদ আহমদ সোবহানী বিজয়ীদের হাতে ট্রফি তুলে দেন। এ সময় রেজিস্ট্রার, ডিনবৃন্দ, বিভাগীয় প্রধানগণ, শিক্ষক-শিক্ষার্থী, কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মার্লিন ট্যুরস এন্ড ট্রাভেলস এর চেয়ারম্যান জুয়েল রেজোয়ানি মিয়াহ। এছাড়া ক্লেমন এর পক্ষ থেকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন গাজী আলমগীর। এই আয়োজনটি পরিচালিত হয় স্টুডেন্ট অ্যাফেয়ার্স ও প্লেসমেন্ট বিভাগ-এর উপ-পরিচালক কে. এম. মনিরুল ইসলাম-এর তত্ত্বাবধানে এবং সহযোগিতায় ছিল ইস্টার্ন ইউনিভার্সিটি গেমস ও স্পোর্টস ক্লাব। ইস্টার্ন ইউনিভার্সিটি কর্তৃপক্ষ ভবিষ্যতেও এ ধরনের আয়োজন অব্যাহত রাখার আশা প্রকাশ করেছে।

The Department of Pharmacy showcased a brilliant blend of athletic talent and departmental camaraderie during the Pharmacy Cricket League Season 2, held on April 21 and 22, 2026. The tournament featured four uniquely named teams: Antibiotic Avengers, Capsule Battlers, Remedy Royals, and Rx Squad. Following the preliminary rounds, the final match saw a showdown between the Capsule Battlers and Rx Squad. Ultimately, Rx Squad outperformed their rivals to be crowned the champions of the season. The celebration of this achievement took place tomorrow, April 25, as the winning team joined faculty and peers to commemorate their hard-earned success. This internal success has set a positive tone for the university-wide sports calendar. Looking ahead, the Department of Pharmacy cricket team will join the inter-departmental competition on April 26 and 27. The university community anticipates a display of high-level talent as Pharmacy competes against teams from across the campus in the spirit of healthy institutional rivalry.

On April 16, 2026, faculty members and students from the Department of Pharmacy visited the Naypara FDMN (Rohingya) Camps in Teknaf as part of an experiential learning program. This visit served as a practical extension of the 3rd-year "Introduction to Public Health" curriculum, which covers the management of health crises in displaced communities. The group explored the socio-economic realities of the camps through a briefing with the Secretary, who detailed the challenges of maintaining basic healthcare facilities in such a specialized environment. The visit concluded with an informative session at the camp’s hospital facility. There, the students and faculty interacted with the medical leadership to examine the logistical hurdles of providing consistent medication and preventative care. Discussions with the on-site Doctor and Pharmacist highlighted the critical importance of vaccination plans and specialized treatment regimens. This trip successfully bridged the gap between academic theory and the realities of global public health.

Organized by the Eastern University Cultural Club, the vibrant day-long festival brought together students, teachers, officials, staff, and alumni in a festive atmosphere. Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani graced the occasion as Chief Guest and emphasized that Pohela Boishakh is a day to reconnect with our roots and nurture our culture and human values. Treasurer Prof. Md. Shamsul Huda and Registrar Dr. Abul Bashar Khan also shared inspiring words, encouraging everyone to embrace our rich heritage. The celebration featured a colorful Boishakhi Mela, captivating cultural performances, flash mob, bioscope, nagordola, and delightful food & handicraft stalls. Students in traditional attire added extra vibrancy to the entire campus.

The program featured a Health Seminar at Rezakul Haider Hall alongside a Free Health Check-up Campaign at the EU Sports Room. The seminar began with recitations from holy scriptures, followed by guest reception and a welcome speech by the President of EUPHC. The Chief Guest, Professor Md. Shamsul Huda, Honorable Vice Chancellor (Acting), delivered an insightful keynote speech emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring both individual and community health. The Guest of Honor, Mr. Bishwajit Podder, General Manager of East West Medical College Hospital, shared valuable insights on accessible healthcare services and the importance of collaboration between academia and the healthcare industry. The Special Guest, Dr. Abu Bin Ihsan, Head of the Department of Pharmacy, highlighted the significance of pharmaceutical education and awareness in building a healthier society. The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean of the School of Engineering and Advisor of the club, who also delivered an insightful speech on public health awareness and later offered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all distinguished guests, participants, and organizers for making the program successful. The seminar also featured an engaging Public Health Quiz Battle 2026 and a short cultural segment focused on health awareness, followed by an award-giving ceremony and refreshments. In parallel, the Free Health Check-up Campaign was conducted from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the EU Sports Room, providing basic healthcare services free of cost. The initiative was supported by East West Medical College Hospital as the official health partner, where a professional medical team ensured quality and efficient service delivery. The program successfully combined awareness with practical healthcare support, engaging a large number of students, faculty members, and officials. The morning was filled with energy as everyone enjoyed the park’s signature rides and the refreshing environment of the Water World.
