Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program

The Department of Law offers program leading to the degree of LL.M. This program would be a building point for a student’s legal career. Completion of the LL.M Program leads to a deeper understanding of the various branches of the international law with a focus on the contemporary contentions. A graduate with proclivity towards research or academia after completion of this program would also be qualified to pursue higher studies both at home and abroad. In this new curriculum some of the existing courses have been amalgamated with each other while a few new courses has been introduced to face the changing paradigm of knowledge and diaspora.

1. A coherent and comprehensive understanding of the fundamental areas of legal knowledge
2. Ability to critically analyze and evaluate a situation to identify and address legal issues with sound reasoning
3. Ability to apply and employ the garnered legal knowledge in real life setting
4. Understanding of the socio-legal responsibilities and accountability
5. Well-developed cognitive and practical skills necessary to identify, research, evaluate and synthesize relevant factual, legal and policy issues, and apply ethical research practices.
