Independence Day 2nd Inter-department Cricket Tournament Inaugurated at Eastern University

The Independence Day 2nd Inter-department Cricket Tournament was officially inaugurated on 21 April 2025 at the Eastern University Playground. A total of eight teams are participating in the tournament, including a team comprising faculty members and officials, aimed at fostering stronger bonds between students, faculty and officials.

Professor Md. Shamsul Huda, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University, unveiled the tournament trophy and formally declared the event open. Dr. Abul Basher Khan, Registrar of Eastern University, along with chairpersons of academic departments, faculty members, and officials, were also present at the opening ceremony. The tournament group matches will take place from 21 to 23 April 2025, providing a platform for participants to demonstrate their talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
